To be honest guys, daylight saving isn't a big issue to me though in my life that I've been raised there is no such thing as 0000, as my dad has always believed in between that it's only 2359 or 0001 no 0000 throughout the night and it hasn't affected me at all. Roy
Life. Absolutely four daylight saving! Love the extra sunshine during summer. And you don't get paid for the extra hour you work because on the day where it goes forward, they don't take that hour out of your pay.
Life Fm
Not a fan of daylight savings but I don't deny it. As a shift worker I can testify you work an extra hour and do get paid for it.
LIFE is it god honouring or not? Is it Christ centred or not. Westfield need to respect gods house whilst inviting people to join and practise faith
LIFE
Hi! I feel the rave is fine so long as there isn't anything dishonouring God. If they're accepting things that go against His word like encouraging drunkeness / sexual immorality / using His name in vain, then absolutely not. If it is honoring, great way to help people feel comfortable in a church
LIFE
I feel like it depends on if the rave still has Christian influence or if it's like any other rave and may have things that are sinful.

.RHEMA Regarding the discussion about the green mp who Winston Peters stepped out to explain himself regarding his luid posts on social media. This person has no place in New Zealand's politics & should be stood down as a coat tails pm by the green party.

Hi Sherryn.
Just wanted to thank you for your prompt last week to finish things we've been putting off. I can't fully remember what it was about but you put it out there for the listeners to do that day. I managed to finish painting the garage that weekend :-)

Hi guys,
I live in Auckland and rent here, but I own a $800,000
House in te puke, our rates are over $4600 perhaps that's why the bosses get paid so much. Blessings Ross, Batey, bus,bus
Rhema. Paedophilua is not an ideology that can be misinterpreted - it's a criminal office, no matter what someone's occupation or sexuality. An innocent child has been photographed in a sexualised situation ansd this is depraved.
LIFE Years ago when I first became a Christian (1985) I was dating my now husband. I'd become a Christian and we tried to find a church we could both attend - basically to keep me happy without him having to make a commitment! lol. So we went to many, we were young, surfy types. He wore ripped jeans and tops - so many churches we sat outside and decided we couldn't go in - we wouldn't be accepted. So sad! Thankfully God worked it out and we are both still passionate followers of Jesus. What to wear to church? You do you. Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.

Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godlinessโwith good works. 1 Tim 2:9-10

We (my husband and I and our three children aged between 8 & 15) make an effort to dress "nicely" for church. It's nice to make an effort for God, but also so much of life is casual it's just a good opportunity to wear nicer clothes ๐คฃ I do not believe people should 'have' to dress up, making an effort looks different for everyone. I would hate to think that someone thought they couldn't enter our doors and meet with God because they didn't have good enough clothes!
Amy
Life. It would be awesome if everyone dressed up for Jesus and celebrated together but imagine a brand new person walking in off the street into a church for the first time in the only clothes they have. How intimidating! Would they feel comfortable staying or coming back if they can't meet the perceived dress code! Kerry

.LIFE hearing this question makes me think of something i tried over a decade ago. I tried this thing called suit up sunday to get us boys to dress up nicer for church.. we did it maybe 2 or 3 times but we got mocked so hard and gossipped by other people at church we stopped. We got called Single suit sunday. Looking forward now, all the boys are married with kids but most of them dont go to that church anymore.
Rhema to be fair. The discharge into the river is treated effluent. Tests will be done to make sure it's not damaging the environment. If it's TREATED that should make it safe or why treat it?
LIFE
there is no right answer to that.
My feelings are go as you are comfortable.
However I saw a guy in my church wearing a T-Shirt saying "Mega Death".
We also had a transvestite man who would come sometimes wearing womens clothes and full make up.
Personally I thought this was disrespectful but I didn't think it was my place to say anything to them.
Life -
My mum would always say, dress like you're going to meet the Lord.
Always got lectured from mum growing up cause I'll get all dressed up for a birthday party, but when Sunday comes to go to church, I'll dress casual as.
My mum would always say, keep the same energy when you're going to an event and when you're entering the house of the Lord.
Life
God doesn't just accept you for the clothes you wear. He will meet you where ever or however you are.
Life- I'm a dairy farmer. Sunday morning I go inside shower and get nice and clean. Go to church in Dickies and tshirt. May look plain to some but for me that's dressing up vs stubbies and singlet. I think it's about making an effort for God but it looks very different for us all.
Life
I have reflected on this issue. I'm 50, I've been brought up to dress tidily with clean shoes whenever I leave home. But for church I try not to dress up too much because I believe we should all 'come as we are'. I don't care what the church's vibe is.
LIFE:
My question would be who are you dressing for? Yourself, Him or society/community, and then to follow, why are you dressing that way?
It's not so much what is it you are wearing but the intention behind it
Life, hi guys, me again! At our old church my husband wore a suit when on duty ushering and I wore dressy clothes. Nowadays hubby wears tshirt and jeans, I wear a dress or 'tidy casual' clothes, certainly not trackpants and hoody! I agree with Tabs that it does feel a bit like a respect thing. ๐ Dianne

Life. I used to always wear a suit to Church. I've changed to a blazer, chinos and t. I believe I should bring my best to Jesus - including what I wear to Church. And it feels good to dress well ๐. Anthony in Marlborough
