hello there...I have been feeling heavy as I think I have failed to satisfy this new friend and I feel disappointed with myself.
Being a people pleaser, I fall into the trap of having to satisfy people ..
We met at church and she was very cheerful and happy when she first met me about 2months ago. She was being nice. However, she changed after she advised me about relationship stuff which I disagree.
It just shows so clearly on her face that she was not happy when I disagree on her advice. I was trying to be polite and calm as I share why my own thought. At the end, I can see the end of the meeting was not as expected.
I met her yesterday again for the last time as she is moving to aussie, with a group of friend from church, and I can see she is not putting as much attention to me as when we first get to know each other. I hated it that she treats me differently from others.
I have tried to pray to God to let go my people-pleasing character, and praying this feeling will go away. I also pray that her heart and my heart will be softened as well. And for God to change or heal her the way He wants...
Also, she disagree that I shall find someone who is a Christian. And say it seems like you are only looking for Christian...
I also explain to her I still need healing for family trauma and thus I have been quite inactive to looking out for partners. Which she finds it strange.
Context we both are single.
Please help me to feel better by praying for me and I also pray so that there are more support group out there for the singles.
