Hey.
We own a hammock. A camping hammock currently in the garage.
But I also own a heated jacket. As do most my work mates.
Also have a close friend who owns a heated thermal.

Life I agree with Brandon we are called to spread the gospel and to bring all lost souls to Jesus. If it means speaking to non-believers in a language they understand and guiding them into the language of Jesus then so be it. I believe Church is for non-believers and Christians alike. I don’t see why there needs to be a separation.

The term he used was not "overtly Christian" the term he used was "Christianese" which is different - using terms that only Christians understand.
Our church is very evangelistic - everything is aimed at young people.
Newcomers often come in and for the first time tangibly experience the Holy Spirit which radically changes the course of their lives.
I haven't heard any talk about avoiding Christianese in the songs, I guess it could be worth considering.

Last winter we folkowed the Bear Grylls mantra of a layer underneath is worth two on top. We put our wool blanket under the bottom sheet. We have an ancient aircell cotton on top and a light synthetic quilt over that.
We've never been so cozy.
(FYI Selah - a bkanket is woven fron yarn preferably wool)
