Life hey guys, just called up to sponsor a child and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I asked the operator if there were certain children or groups who have been waiting long or aren't as 'popular' to be picked first and they mentioned a beautiful young 9yr old girl from Uganda that's been waiting 12 months. My heart broke and I jumped at the opportunity to sponsor her. Before I called, I prayed for God to give me someone specific that I can sponsor, and when the operator said 9yr old girl, my heart melted as my daughter is the same age. Just wanted to share that. God is good and my family and I are excited to receive her details packet soon :)

.LIFE I wouldn't say you won't regret it. While it's amazing thing to do, I've had a sponsored child since I was in high school and I've had to fight really hard to keep paying for her while in uni, overseas, trying to buy a house and now pregnant and I have no idea how I'll afford it when I go on maternity leave. It's definitely a great thing to do but not easy

I want to back up Tear Fund and their child sponsorship program.
So many people say that it's a waist of money because it's mostly used up in administration and doesn't get to the child.
I sponsored 24 kids in Uganda all at once through my business and also went to Uganda on a Watoto building mission and seen for myself firsthand the absolute success of Child Sponsorship.
